A lead Medieval seal matrix dating from about AD 1200 - 1400. It is a pointed oval in plan and the central motif is a cross with a short angled line in each angle. The legend reads: "+ S' MICHAEL' CISSO[-]" (seal of Michael ?Cisso[-]). The inscription is separated from the central motif by a single line border, but the matrix face is very worn and rounded, and this line is not visible everywhere. The reverse is plain. The matrix is 34.1mm long, 21.9mm wide and 4.3mm thick. 15.53g.
