Copper alloy heraldic pendant of Medieval date, probably of 13th or 14th century. The pendant is shield shaped and is 35.7mm high, with an overall length (including the swivel loop) of 47.2mm. The pendant has traces of red enamel surviving between ten raised roundels. Traces of gilding survive over the roundels and the frame (Gules bezanty). The roundels are arranged in four rows, with four roundels on the top row, three on the second, two on the third and a single roundel at the bottom. The heraldic device may be connected to the La Zouche family who employed various combinations of roundels within a shield.
