Copper alloy buckle. Cast D-shaped buckle with a thickened rounded and expanded outer edge, bevelled behind, and with devolved beast head terminals gripping the ends of a narrowed strap bar. A pair of broad shallow grooves appear centrally on the outer edge, probably serving as a pin rest. Abraded. Suggested date: Early Medieval, 1000-1100.
