Silver medieval penny of Richard II (1377 - 1399 AD). Mint of York. London die. Obverse of forward-facing crowned bust, almost entirely obscured, cross pattee initial mark, RICARD[VS REX] ANGLIE. Reverse of long cross pattee with quatrefoil in centre and three pellets in corners, CIVI/TAS/[EB]O/RACI. The coin is 17.93mm in diameter, 1.07mm in thickness and weighs 0.87g.
