Post Medieval Copper alloy Mount with integral pointed lugs, dating from the 17th century. The mount has cordate openwork, a basal trefoil knop and two lugs. An identical mount is in Metal Artefacts of Antiquity Vol. I by Brian Read, No.325 page 29 and illustrated in Fig. 22 page 37. 30mm tall and 20mm wide, 12.62 mm deep, weighs 5.25g.
