A fragment of a copper-alloy T-shaped brooch dating to the late first or second century AD. The fragment comprises a portion of the head and bow. The head comprises two semi-circular section wings. The wings are decorated with a series of vertical ribs and grooves. On the underside of the head, there is a central perforated lug to accomodate the axis bar and chord. The spring and pin are missing. The semi-circular section bow extends from the head and is decorated with a central vertical rib. The bow is broken. The brooch measures 18mm in length, with the wings having a width of 32mm and the bow a width of 9mm. The fragment weighs 6.99g
