Copper alloy strap end. A pair of straight-sided plates, of thickness 0.5mm and 0.9mm, the thinner outermost, tapering to a pointed end with a tiny terminal knop. A rivet of diameter 1.6mm and length 2.3mm is set at the pointed end and the site of another rivet at the inner end, the latter attaching the plates to each other and to a strap. Suggested date: Medieval, 1270-1400.
