A very worn and incomplete plate brooch possibly Roman dating from 43- 410 AD. The brooch is circular in shape, no detail is left on the face of the brooch. On the reverse there are two projections where the spring and foot of the brooch would have been. These are both very worn. The brooch has a dark green and brown patina. The plate measures 26.4 mm by 24.5mm, is 8.5mm thick and weighs 5.15g.
