A copper alloy post-medieval acorn mount with two lugs on the reverse.
Description: This post-medieval mount is styled in an acorn pattern as demonstrated by the incuse hatching in imitation of an acorn on the lower half. The upper half is smooth ending in a small knop at the end. The stem below the hatching design bends sharply to one side at an almost 90 degree angle. The reverse lugs are incomplete and it is hard to tell which direction they faced if at all. The lug closer to the knop appears broken as it is significantly shorter than the other. There is an overall green patina with patches of reddish brown.
