An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The object is a single-loop, ovate buckle. The frame is sub-ovate in plan with a convex at the upper outer lip. The narrowed off-set bar is sub-circular in cross-section. The lip has five transverse linear grooves. The pin is missing.
The metal is Light brown and mid-green in colour with a pitted patina.
