A fragment of a silvered copper alloy prick spur dating to the Roman period (c. AD 200-410). The object comprises a broken D-sectioned arm terminating in a flattened disc, which is perforated to accommodate a rivet by which it would be attached to its strap. Between the arm and the disc is a rectangular collar. There is evidence of silvering on the face and reverse of the disc. The rest of the object has a mid-green patina.
