Large copper alloy chape. A u-shaped chape with a small, solid cast u-shaped projection at the tip. The chape flares slightly towards the top. About a third of the object has been broken off. The front is decorated with incised pairs of diagonal lines. Possibly a sword scabbard chape. Domed front and hollow back. Broken and incomplete.
