A copper-alloy, non-descript ring, dating from the Iron Age to the Early Medieval periods. Flat section, no decoration or mouldings. The ring displays wear on one side, possibly where a strap was attached, for example a harness strap. These objects are very hard to date without contextual information, however the patina suggests it is of Late Iron Age to early medieval date, c. 100 BC to AD 800.
