A complete and corroded Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy square uniface coin-weight (c. 1464-c. 1642).
This coin weight is for an angel and the front depicts St Michael spearing a dragon. The rear face is plain.
Length: 15.4mm; width: 14.8mm; thickness: 2.6mm. Weight: 3.66g. (56.4 grains).
The coin-weight is British and dates from between the 15th - 16th centuries, having first been issued in 1464 (Withers 1995: 21).
