An incomplete copper alloy seal matrix of Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1400. It is oval in plan and has a faceted conical reverse, but the handle is missing. The central motif is a bird facing left (on the impression) appearing to stand on one long edge of the seal. The legend reads: " * S' ROGER [-] TOB(MA)N" (Seal of Roger Tobman) and it is flanked by beaded lines. The matrix is 24.4mm long, 18.3mm wide and 8.9mm high. It weighs 10.07gm.
