A bent gold post-medieval posy-ring, probably dating to the period AD 1729-1747. It measures 24.26mm in length and 13.14mm in width. It is 3.64mm thick and weighs 2.92g.
The outside of the ring is not decorated and features some minor dents. On the inside of the ring can be found an inscription, which reads: Love and live Happy.
The maker's mark reads GS in a rectangular incision. It is probably the maker's mark of the London goldsmith Giles Southam. Cf. British Museum: Posy ring with the Registration number AF.1297.
