A post medieval silver coin; a sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603), second issue (AD 1561 - 1582), coronet initial mark (AD 1567 -1570), dated 1568. Minted at the Tower, London. North Volume 2 (1991) number 1997 on page 134. It is 25.1mm in diameter and 0.6mm thick. It weighs 2.73gm. One edge of the flan is bent.
