An incomplete copper alloy probable spur of post-medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1800. All that remains is part of the curved portion of the spur which would fit around the heel of the wearer. The fragment is D-shaped in section is broken before the end of the arm where there would have been a spur attachment to the leathers. At the other end is a moulded baluster shape before a patinated break. This is probably where an arm would have extended to form either a rowel box or prick spur. The fragment is 63.1mm long, 9.7mm wide and 6.7mm thick. 18.51g. Compare YORYM-3986DA though the decoration is not identical.
