An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Roman date (AD75-120), most likely a hinged colchester derivative.The wings are cylindrical. The pin and catch plate are missing. The axial bar appears to still be in place and is encased within the head. The surface of the brooch is slightly pitted with a dark brown patina and appears to be undecorated.
