A Medieval copper alloy double looped bucke, probably dating to c. AD 1350-1650. The buckle comprises of two oval loops with a D-shaped cross section. The front of the frame is decorated with a series of regularly spaced relatively deep, obliquely angled grooves. A copper alloy pin remains around the bar. The pin is D-shaped in cross section with a flat back and tapoers slightly to a slightly undercut point.

Dimensions: length 35.7mm; width 28.7mm; thickness 2.9mm; weight.6.30g.

Similar examples on this database include IOW-FC8294 and SOM-0B5067. Egan & Pritchard (2002: 83, no. 342) publish a similar buckle, dating to the first half of the 15th century.
