An incomplete copper alloy and iron dolphin brooch of early Roman date. The brooch has tapering cylindrical wings, an iron axis bar and pin (missing) and a projecting bow decorated with a slight ridge with engraved transverse lines. The bow tapers to a plain foot which has the remains of a curving catchplate behind.
