Incomplete copper alloy post medieval double loop trapezoidal buckle, missing one loop. The loop has a trefoil outer edge with three rounded knops and a groove in the middle of the central knop for the pin rest. The strap bar also has rounded knops at either end and is flush with the frame. The second loop of the buckle has broken off where it would have met the knops at the end of the strap bar. There are patches of tinning on the surface of the frame and the pin.
Whitehead (1996) illustrates a tinned trapezoidal buckle with similar dimensions on p.83, no.522 and dates it c.1620-1680.
