An extremely worn Post Medieval copper alloy halfpenny of an uncertain monarch. Possibly Charles II, AD 1660-1685 or George II, AD 1727-1760. Obverse shows an unclear bust left facing. Obverse legend is illegible. Reverse shows an extremely unclear Britannia seated left. Reverse legend and exergue are illegible. Die axis is 6 o'clock.
Close examination with a hand lens and desk lamp revealed the following points which indicated it could more likely be George II than Charles II.
: Profile of face.
: Angle in front of neck between lower jaw and chest.
: The shape of the space between lower edge of the bust and edge of flan.
