A complete ?base silver post-medieval or modern mount. The object is a flattened hexagonal shape. The outer face is decorated with engraved entwined triangular and trefoil lines with a smaller solid trefoil in the centre. A solid line border runs around the outside of the outer face. There is a small patch of copper corrosion to one side of this design. The reverse is crudely finished and has iron corrosion in the centre, which may indicate how it was attached. It survives in good condition.
The function of the object is uncertain, although it may be a button component. The condition and style of decoration suggest a post-medieval or even fairly modern date.
