A copper alloy early Post-Medieval dress hook of Read's Class E, Type 6, quatrefoil. The object has been cast in one piece in moulded-relief and openwork. The frame is in the form of quatrefoil 'knot' with five raised pellets. The outer frame is decorated with grooves. Where the object extends to form the rearward facing hook is a triple ribbed collar. The hook is complete. At the opposite end the attachment loop is sub-rectangular in plan. The object has a mid-green patina and is in good condition.

A similar example in Read (2008) is no.447 on p111. A similar example which has been recorded on the PAS database is LVPL-4998A5.
