Complete lithic implement formed from a flint flake, probably dating to Neolithic or Bronze Age (c. 4000 - 801 BC). The flake is sub-rectangular in profile, and convex, created from translucent grey flint with white spots. The lithic implement is flatter at one end and more bulbous at the other end. There is long sub-parallel retouch along one long side. Towards the more bulbous end of the flake the retouch becomes more scaled, although one's impression of this is obscured by a patch of recortication. The angle of retouch also becomes steeper towards the more bulbous end, changing from low-angle to semi-abrupt. This implement was probably used as a scraper, although the ubiquity of such objects means that it is not possible to confine it to a narrower date range. The length of the lithic implement is 68.18mm, it is 21.52mm in width and 7.48mm at maximum thickness. The weight of the flint is 13.05g.
