Lead weight or possible gaming piece, circular in plan with flattened faces, both of which have a prominent raised rim which is c4.5mm broad. The object is worn and the decoration is indistinct, but one side appears to have a moulded design which may be a shield, and the other has a letter H incised into the central area. It is 27.6mm in diameter, 5.5mm thick at the rim and c4mm thick in the countersunk area, and it weighs 24.6g.
Probably a 1 ounce trade weight, and likely to date from c.1300 - 1800
