An incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman La Tene III 'Nauheim' derivative one-piece bow brooch (c. AD 25 - 100). The coiled spring, the pin and the majority of the catch-plate have been lost. The bow is circular in section at the head of the brooch and then flattens to a sub-rectangular section through the body. The brooch terminates in a bifurcated broken end where the catch-plate has been lost. A raise rib beginning at the head of the brooch and ending at the broken catch-plate is the only visible decoration. The brooch has been bent at 90 degrees in two places which looks intentional. It has a heavily abraded surface and is mid-green in colour.
It measures 37.98mm in length, 25.68mm wide, 1.74mm thick and weighs 2.48grams.
