A post Medieval to modern copper alloy unidentified object possibly dating to c.1750-c. 1900. The object or disc is circular in plan and has a slightly raised rim. At the centre is a raised galloping horse facing left with an arched neck and tail raised upwards. The top and bottom left part of the disc are bent slightly upwards. The reverse has some whitish patches of a residue, and shows the indentation of the horse motif, which suggests that the decoration was pressed. The disc has a black patina. The disc is 20mm in diameter, 1.5mm in thickness, and weighs 1.96g.

A similar object recorded by David Williams comments that 'The precise purpose is not clear but it appears to have acted as some form of seal, perhaps for a bottle or other container. The date is likely to be in the period c.1750-1900.'

Other similar recorded on the PAS databases are; SUR-BCBEA6, SUR-B69547, HAMP-719D34, IOW-5C48B7.
