An incomplete copper alloy buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1350-1400). The buckle has a rounded knop with a collar at the base. From the knop the frame extends into an oval shape. The frame of the buckle is broken part way along the top and bottom edges. The patina is smooth, dark green in colour, and has is no decoration.

See Egan's Dress Accessories (1991: 94) no.421, which is similar in shape.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 12.21mm in length, 13.35mm in width, 2.77mm in thickness and 0.6g in weight.
