Approximately half of a Late Roman copper alloy zoomorphic buckle, depicting a stylised dolphin's head with open mouth and curled tail. One loop at the base of the buckle (for the pin and probable plate) survives. Dating to the c. 4th & 5th Centuries AD, this buckle is a Hawkes and Dunning Type IIA.
