An incomplete very worn Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester Two-piece type dating to c. 1st century AD. The remains of the brooch consist of the bow and very small part of the head. The bow is slim and circular in cross-section, and tapers down to a broken tip. The bow narrows from 3.5mm to 2.45mm. The wings, spring, pin and catchplate are missing. The brooch has a light green and brown patina.

The brooch is 36.7mm in length, 5.6mm maximum width, 15.1mm in thickness, and weighs 2.71g.

A similar brooch can be seen in Hattatt 2007, Fig. 156, no. 1459.
