A complete pos-Medieval copper-alloy dress-hook (c. 1500-c. 1650). Read Class E, Type 8.

The body is in the form of a five-petalled rose, with a hole at the centre. There is also a hole beneath, between the rose and the transverse ridge. A trapezoidal attachment loop is bevelled internally at the front. The transverse ridge divides the rose from the rearwards curving hook. The hook is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear. The rear face is flat and plain.

The dress-hook is silvery green and has a white metal coating.

Length: 32.8mm; width: 15.4mm; thickness: 1.9mm; thickness including hook: 7.9mm; width of attachment loop: 10.0mm; width of hook: 3.0mm. Weight: 3.01g.
