A complete post Medieval copper alloy possibly dating to the 17th century.
The mount is in the form of a five rounded petalled flower formed by a scalloped edge and incised grooves radiating from the centre. There are two integral rivets attached to the back of the mount. The rivets are bent towards each other and are subsequently joining. The mount has a dark green to almost black patina.
The mount is 13.8 in length, 13.1mm in width, 8.6mm in thickness, and weighs 1.39g.
