A complete but somewhat damaged cast copper-alloy thimble dating to the late Medieval or early Post-Medieval period, c. 1450-1550. It is broadly circular in plan at its base and highly domed, demonstrating a thickened foot-panel above which are nine hand-stamped rows of large circular dimples arranged in a slightly spiral pattern. The crown of the thimble is tonsured, partially torn on one side as a result of post-depositional damage. It measures 19.07mm in diameter at its base, c. 1.42mm thick, and stands 20.48mm high. It weighs 5.41g.
