Post Medieval copper alloy rectangular shoe buckle. Originally it would have looked something like a Whitehead No 665. What remains is approximately 20% of the frame including the drilled spindle hole retaining the stump of an iron spindle. There are remnants of a coating, probably tinning. Dates to between c1720 and c1790 AD.
The length is 36mm, width is 9mm, thickness 7mm, and weight 2.61g.
