Medieval copper alloy lamp hanger. The hanger has three arms, to suspend chains for the lamp, projecting from a central upright shank with loop at the top. This loop measures 9mm by 12mm and the perforation 2mm by 3mm. The shank diameter is 5mm. All three of the arms are incomplete and missing their perforated ends. Immediately below the junction of the shank and the arms is a rib with a small perforation (2x1mm) for another suspended element. Dates to between c1200 and c1500 AD. A similar example from medieval London is recorded in Egan (1998:131) number 357 and is dated to the fourteenth century AD.
The length is 30mm, the width is 25mm, thickness 23mm, and the weight 9.38g.
