A complete lead alloy Cloth Seal of Early Post-Medieval date (AD 1550-1700). The object is a three disc, lead alloy cloth seal and consists of three thin discs connected in sequence by narrow, thin strips. The disc at one end of the row has a circular perforation and that at the opposite end an integral knop. The strip of metal between the two central discs would have been folded over so that the spike on one end passes through the perforation at the other. The central disc is then impressed with a design.

On this seal the design on one side is of an outer chain boarder within which is a plain circle. Within the circle is a heraldic crest composed of a lion rampant left and unicorn rampant left. Above them is a plume.

The metal is a mid-brown in colour
