A Post Medieval silver shilling of William III (AD 1694-1702)
The object is a smooth and worn coin that has been slightly bent into an 'S' shape to be used possibly as a love token. Both faces are very worn, the bust being just visible on the obverse.the reverse is too worn to identify any mint or date. Coins of William III were commonly converted into love tokens.
The coin measures 24.87 mm in diameter, is 1.12 mm thick and weighs 5.2 grams.
