A complete flint Laurel leaf 'knife' of Neolithic date (3,450-2,100 BC). The lithic is leaf shaped in plan and bi-convex in section. The dorsal surface has invasive stepped flaking with the exception of two areas of retained cortex along the proximal and distal right hand edge. All edges have semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface has six predominant negative flakes. The lithic retains a minor amount of cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is a dark grey in colour while the cortex is light brown.
