A complete flint Scraper of Mesolithic date (9,000-3,450 BC). The object is Sub-rectangular in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars. The proximal end has been blunted creating a semi-circular notch. The distal end tapers to a point. All edges with the exception of the proximal edge have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slightly concave with a shallow negative scar situated over a probable bulb of percussion at the distal end. There are shallow ripples of percussion emanating from the distal end.
The flint is dark grey in colour. There is no retained cortex and the flake is therefore a tertiary flake.
