An incomplete cast copper alloy mount or fitting plate in the form of a crowned rose in relief. The object has been provisionally dated to the Post Medieval to Modern periods (c. AD 1500-1900). The mount has an integral projection at four o'clock on the face, which may have been used to attach the mount to another object. On the reverse, the crown is flat and the rose is slightly concave with a ridge running horizontally across the middle. The mount hasd a light green patina.
Two similar examples have been recordedon the PAS databse: LON-09DFA9 and NLM225.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 18.19mm in length, 15.95mm in width, 3.91mm in thickness and 2.38g in weight.
