Complete copper-alloy septfoil mount of probable medieval date (c. 1100 - 1500 AD). The mount is concave and symmetrical in aspect with one large fan-shaped lobe and six smaller lobes of the same general shape. Five lines incised on the front surface of the mount radiate out form the middle point of the larger lobe. There are two iron rivets: one perforates the first lobe to the left of the larger lobe in the front aspect, and the other the second lobe from the right of the larger lobe. These rivets are both dark orange-brown in colour while the mount itself has a patchy green patina due to corrosion of the copper-alloy. The mount is 18.58mm in length, 16.91mm in width and 0.84mm in thickness. The weight of the mount is 1.36g.
