Discussion: Comparable finger rings date to the Medieval period, c.1200 – 1400. There are many similar rings on the PAS database, see: HAMP-6C5109, NMS-93A6EF, SOM-138A64 and ESS-FBAFF7 for more complete examples.
Conclusion: In terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal, it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
