A thin incomplete copper-alloy Roman (AD 43-60) rear-hook Colchester derivative brooch.
Description The historic break is across the coil and wings, leaving residual fragments. the rearhook survies as a small stub. The bow is very thin and arched creating a comma shape and is circular in cross-section and tapers to a pointed. The lower 14.45mm is bent over at a right ange to the cross bar. It has light blue/green corrosion on all surfaces.
