Roman copper alloy bow brooch, possibly a T-shaped variant? Length: 51 mm, width: 17 mm, weight: 9.29 grams.

The brooch is complete except for its lower pin and consists of narrow circular cross sectioned open wings, which house a spring of seven coils and part of the pin. The sub rectangular cross sectioned bow sits on a small rectangular platform above the wings. It narrows in width gently towards a slightly stepped foot. It is decorated with a central linear ridge with transverse incisions running its length. Each side has a series of semi-circular depressions, creating a 'scalloped' edge. The reverse of the bow houses a catchplate with turned edge which is about two thirds of the length of the bow.
