A fragment of a copper-alloy vessel dating to the post medieval period.

The fragment is part of the leg of a cooking vessel such as a cauldron. The pot leg is triangular in cross-section, tapering downward, with a slightly concave inner surface. The outer surface is formed of three convex ribs which form a flared, hoof-like foot. The base of foot is very worn and uneven.

The metal is worn and made up of patches of light brown and light green. The pot leg is 52.3 mm long, 33.4 mm wide and 31.4 mm thick. It weighs 146 g.

Butler et al. (2009) report a similar pot leg (p.6, figure 4b) and note that another example from the Mary Rose must be of late 15th- or early 16th-century date.
