An Early Medieval copper alloy Anglo-Scandinavian harness link / distributor dating to the 11th Century AD (AD 1050-1150). The strap distributor has a lozenge-shaped aperture at one end of a sub-rectangular bar. The opposing end of the bar has a raised cast head of a feline-type animal. It is probable that the harness link is incomplete, missing the opposing lozenge-shaped terminal. Similar harness links can be found illustrated in Williams (2007, 5; fig. 6b); cf. also SOMDOR-E14156 and KENT-4D8F5B on this database.
