An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy double-looped buckle, probably dating to c. AD 1550-1650. One of two oval loops survive. The buckle frame has a plano-convex cross section, with a central, barrel shaped moulding on the outer edge flanked by cast foliate decoration. A triple-stranded collar is situated in the corners of the loop and with a scalloped knop flanking the central bar, which is sub-triangular in cross section. Traces of a black laquer coating survive on the surface.
Dimentions: length 31.3mm; width 45.3mm; thickness 3.3mm; it weighs 6.32g.
