An incomplete and heavily worn copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c.AD 75 - 175. Only a portion of the bow remains with both ends terminating in worn breaks. An ovate sectioned bow flanks a crude circular acanthus moulding with three prominent knops.
The metal has a mid-brown patina and is worn. The brooch is 30.4mm long, 11.9mm wide, 9.2mm thick and weighs 5.5g.
